AVEDON FASHION by Richard Avedon.
Sometimes I think Photoshop made everybody lazy. A few years ago we were asked to edit Richard Avedon's archives as part of a repositioning of the Avedon Foundation. Sitting in the archive, among some of the most famous photographs in the world, was an incredible privilege. Holding these images in our hands allowed us to really understand the incredible attention to detail and craft of this man and his team. So too with AVEDON FASHION, without a hint of Photoshop, there's perfection on almost every image — like this one of Jean Shrimpton for Vogue August,1965. His books are a study in greatness.
