TIBOR KALMAN: PERVERSE OPTIMIST edited by Peter Hall and Michael Beirut
It seems like forever ago since I took over Tibor's job running COLORS magazine, but turns out I've been following in his footsteps ever since. He once said that to get somebody's attention, sometimes you just have to throw a brick at them. "Effective advertising," he called it. Many years later, I started @chandeliercreative, inspired very much by Tibor's philosophies about risk-taking in advertising and the unconventional practice of creative work. This brick is why, every year, we send out giant technicolor pizza box press kits to our clients. Too big not to notice. Too fun to forget. Thanks, Tibor, for all the good ideas. This book is full of em.
